Committees

Each Committee will have a Board Member as a liaison; however can be chaired by a committee member who is also a member of NAIOP.  Committees will be responsible for meeting monthly and providing monthly reports to the Board.  Committees follow:

Program Committee
2011 Board Representative Mary Ann Reynolds (formerly called Speaker committee)
Charged with scheduling speakers for general meetings, establishing the schedule for 2011; consider educational seminars, on site meetings promoting a member’s property; additional programs including bus tours, etc.

Sponsorship Committee
2011 Board Representative  Van Martin
Charged with selling Annual Sponsorships to fund chapter programming; plan an appreciation and recruitment event during the year.

Developing Leader Committee
2011 Board Representative Brandon Houston and Co-Chair Stephanie Cernosek
Establish the program for the Developing Leader membership.  Ideas include meeting to kick off the year; ICON dinner; happy hour events; build on breakfast meeting groups; promote membership in NAIOP.

Scholarship Committee
2011 Board Representative Dan Zoch and Allison Knight
Committee will review and award a scholarship annually for a real estate student and will work in conjunction with the Developing Leader committee in awarding the scholarship.

Communications Committee
2011 Board Representative Chip Clarke
Responsible for creating a web site that is user friendly, and interactive (to also include any legislative updates); communicating the chapter’s news and member’s news by establishing a section for press release information; marketing monthly breakfasts and/or any philanthropic activities.

Broker of the Year Committee
2011 Board Representative Paul Frazier, David Hudson and Ross Matthews
Organize and plan the Broker of the Year Awards.

Fall Event Committee
2011 Board Representatives Allison Knight
Responsible for planning the Fall Event.

Membership Committee
2011 Board Representative Jeff Hollinden
Responsible for recruiting new members and promoting NAIOP to development community including an organized system of welcoming new members and recruiting by invitation.  Membership should also encourage new members to join NAIOP Committees.

Finance Committee
Chaired by Treasurer as established by bylaws.

Public Affairs
2011 Board Representative Todd King
Send monthly updates to members regarding issues concerning the real estate industry and work with Communications Committee.
